A home move is easier when the load and access are clear
Two moves with the same number of rooms can take very different amounts of time. A ground-floor flat with parking outside is not the same job as a third-floor property with no lift and a long walk to the van. That is why we ask about the practical details before preparing the quotation.
Flat removals
For flats, tell us the floor, lift size and any building restrictions. If there is a loading bay or timed access, include that too. Stairs and long carries can add loading time, so they should be mentioned at the quote stage rather than on moving day.
House removals
For houses, a room-by-room list works well. Include wardrobes, beds, sofas, appliances, garden items, garage contents and unusually heavy pieces. Photos are useful when the size or shape is difficult to describe.
Shared homes & room moves
If you are only moving one bedroom from a shared property, you may not need the same setup as a full house move. Compare our van sizes and include the largest items in your inventory.

Preparation does not need to be complicated. The biggest time savings usually come from clear access, finished packing and furniture that is ready to move.
Finish packing first
Loose belongings slow down loading and are harder to protect. Close and label boxes before the team arrives, unless you have arranged packing help in advance.
Keep the route clear
Move small obstacles away from halls, stairs and entrances. If possible, reserve a practical parking space close to both properties so carrying distances stay short.
Keep essentials separate
Documents, keys, chargers, medication and anything you need immediately should travel with you rather than disappearing into the main load.

How far in advance should I book a house or flat move?
As soon as you know the moving date. Fridays, weekends and month-end dates can be busier, while flexible dates are usually easier to schedule.
Can you move only part of a household?
Yes. A move can be a few larger items, one room, a flat or a fuller household load. The inventory determines the suitable van and team.
Do I need to empty wardrobes and drawers?
Usually loose and breakable contents should be packed separately. If a piece is too heavy or unsafe to carry while full, it should be emptied before moving.
What if my building has no lift?

Can furniture be taken apart and put back together?
