Choose the van and level of moving help that fit your job. These are our standard hourly rates; tell us the route, items and access details for a written quotation.
Hourly rates
The stairs rate applies when loading or unloading includes stairs. If you have a lift or ground-floor access, the standard rate normally applies.

Minimum booking: 2 hours. Time starts when the movers arrive at the collection address. The rate and any separate charges are confirmed in your written quote.
Example moving costs
These examples show how the hourly rates work. They assume the stated time and access, with no separate parking or road charges. A two-hour minimum applies, and your written quotation will reflect your actual route and items.
Small local move
1 mover + LWB van, 2 hours, ground-floor access: 2 × £60 = £120. Suitable for a modest load when you can help with packing and the route is short.
Flat move with help
2 movers + LWB van, 3 hours, lift access: 3 × £90 = £270. Allow extra time if parking or the lift is far from either entrance.
Larger move with stairs
2 movers + Luton van, 4 hours, stairs: 4 × £110 = £440. Tell us the floor at both properties so the right rate is quoted.
The examples are illustrations of the published rates, not fixed offers. Travel distance, waiting, access and any applicable extra charges can change the final quote.
What the rate covers
Moving help
The agreed number of movers to load, transport and unload your belongings.
Equipped van
A suitable LWB or Luton van with blankets, straps and moving equipment where appropriate.
Furniture help
Basic dismantling and reassembly can be included when agreed before the move.
Packing materials, specialist work or additional services should be discussed when you request your quote.
Distance and other charges
Long-distance mileage
For longer moves, add £1 per mile to the applicable hourly rate, subject to your quotation.
Parking & road charges
Parking, ULEZ or Congestion Charge may apply where relevant and will be set out separately.
Extra time
If a time-based move takes longer, additional time is charged at the agreed hourly rate.
Plan a move that fits your budget
A clear inventory makes the estimate more useful. List bulky items, appliances and the approximate number of boxes. Mention anything that needs dismantling and tell us whether you can help with lifting. A smaller van can work well for a few items; a larger load may need a Luton van or a second mover so loading and unloading do not take longer than expected.
Before the move, check where the van can stop at both addresses and whether a parking permit is required. If either property has stairs, a long walk from the vehicle, restricted lift access or a timed collection slot, include it in your request. We can then suggest a suitable van and moving team.

What if the move takes longer than planned?
Extra time is charged at the agreed rate for a time-based booking. Stairs, parking distance, waiting and extra items can change the time required.
Is there a minimum charge?
The standard minimum booking is 2 hours. Your quotation will confirm the applicable terms.
